Fairview will travel five miles to Raceland to open district play.  The Rams are 4-2 with loses to Ashland and Highlands while winning versus Letcher County Central, NCC, Hazard and knocking off, then number one, Pikeville.

Fairview comes in 1-6 with their only victory coming against Green (OH).

Who wins this district opening for these two teams?

Seems like ages ago that this was one of NEKY's and 1A's hottest rivalries. Those days are long gone. The optimist in me thinks we could see it again someday, but the realist knows it won't be anytime soon.

We should see an early running clock and lots of reps for Raceland's underclassmen.

Got an idea to throw out there. What do y’all think about change the running clock rule? When one team gets up on another by 35 the varsity for both teams have to leave the field and then it turns into a JV game. No running clock. Just let the younger kids get reps. I know Fairview doesn’t have enough numbers to have a JV team but at least the competition level changes and both teams get needed reps without a shorten clock. Idk….just a thought. What do you guys think ?

I think that hurts your Varsity playing their way into 4 quarter shape. I do agree it would not be a terrible idea.

35-0 Rams, I am out of here...

It only got worse from there.

Raceland wins, 67-0.
