Big time win for Paris…

Crazy game a lot of wild things happen a lot of missed calls Rock kept battling retook lead back and forth hard one to loose but Rock made to many mistakes in the end but kept themselves in it. Rock shows they have a solid team and Paris shows they have a solid team was very evenly matched teams in my opinion. How there was 0:01 second left is beyond me tho but hats off to Paris they could have laid down at different times same goes for Rock both teams in my opinion showed they can play.  What does everyone else think from the outside looking in?

Lol sorry maybe it will be uploaded on YouTube I would like to get your take on how our offense looks this year it’s completely night and day different than last year an is fun to watch. 

Paris is a good team they have big physical line something Rock is use to having but is lacking somewhat this year we did loose one of our bigger lineman at practice with torn acl out for season which was a damper but that’s part of football take the good and bad. Rock was able to go toe to toe with a team that has speed and matched it very well themselves was a fun shootout type of game.

Paris is 1A…Rockcastle is 3A. Right? The fact that they’re “evenly matched” is laughable. The pool they have, the resources they have, the facilities, they have. Just stop. Stop talking. Paris is the better team. That’s the thought going forward.

To blame the refs is crazy...you guys are good...Don't discount the fact that we held you to 7 pts in the second half...Your QB is legit and your skilled players...We have the best player on the field most of the nights and he showed tonight... Elijah Webb..This just in... Greyhounds are better than solid...you were up 14-0 and the hounds limited your running game...We start 2 freshman corners I just said your QB was legit so you made plays but we play D man.. if not for the late fumble the hounds win by double digits..Once again you avg 58 a game and had 30 at half...Finished w a TD that was late in the 4th...We are better than solid.

 

We need to stick to the game in this thread, not each other. 

Paris had 4 players going in motion at the same time on multiple plays. No call on Paris grabbing Tucker's facemask, not to mention Paris was lined up offsides before the snap nearly every play on offense, yet not called. But you're right, wasn’t an issue because it was in your favor. Not a fair shake no matter how you look at it, but that’s part of playing on the road even though it shouldn’t be.

I never said Paris wasn’t good. I have said the exact opposite all week. Talked about how big and physical the line play was and how Rock was outmatched there, but hung in the game with true grit all night. Talked about how fast your players were yet Rock matched up well - which is something that Rock teams never can normally do. Typically speed gets even the best Rock teams, beat but not this year. Rock has an excellent, smart, fast quarterback with 3 fast WRs and a passing attack that is a real threat. And they're very talented, yet everyone seems to want to say Rock offense isn’t that good.

I will say this and it will be a long post but my last one and I will cover everything I saw good and bad in tonight’s game.
Paris didn’t limit Rock’s run offense bc for once this Rock team is not a run heavy team. We normally only run late in games or in short yardage situations. We are extremely pass heavy this year. We pass 70-80 percent of the game just like tonight and when we went to the run we ran it on the long drive that ate up over 5 mins of the final 6 of the fourth quarter to take the lead by 1 in attempt to try and score last. You did hold us to only 7 points in the second half but like I said it was due to all the penalties thrown on us that limited alot of those drives. we had more penalty yards that half than offense yards or close.

Let’s look at the no calls the ref missed or just closed their eyes. You have the no call holding penalty on the final play before halftime that happen on the deep pass that Paris threw. But I guess that’s still part of the 1st half so let’s go to the block in the back that happened on Jackson during the punt return that Paris had late in the 4th to take the lead that never got called. Let’s not forget the main flag at the end when Paris was driving the ref waited until the pass was completed and the WR was tackled to throw one on Rock for roughing the passer that added 15 more yards on that put Paris in the red zone with 12-15 seconds left. Or how they let Paris huddle up with 0:11 seconds to call the qb keeper play when Paris was out of timeouts 4-5 plays before that. Those were the important no calls that lead to TDs right after and the game winning FG but let’s back up and mention the ones that weren’t involved in immediate scoring plays but did have impact on drives like  the targeting call that was called on tucker who was no way even close to hitting with his helmet yet on our offense possession right after that happen Paris clearly should have got the penalty for targeting on one of our players yet no flag was thrown for that. It was really obvious and even your own fans were saying they can’t help what the refs do during the game but it shouldn’t be that one sided or obvious. It’s whatever at this point but for you to say the refs weren’t a factor I can’t help but wonder what game you were watching. Guess it wasn’t the one where multiple fans of Paris was escorted out of by the cops…

Let’s recap that second half scoring that you brought up and not forget Rock defense held Paris offense in check the second half too. Score was 30-24 Rock at halftime. Paris had one offense drive where they score on 55 yard TD to tie it up at 30-30 then no more scoring until 4th where Paris was able to score on a punt return for TD to take the 36-30 lead before Rock drove 70 plus yards for the TD they got late in 4th that put them back up 37-36 with 1:13 to go. Paris final drive saw them get almost as many penalties yard help as they had on offense to get in FG range to kick the final 39-37 Paris.

Now I will say this both teams are good and that’s a fact. Other people will learn that as the year progresses. I believe Paris will advance far in 1A playoffs and I hope you win it all. Bc like I’ve said all week Paris has a good team big and physical line play and tons of speed. No shame in matching up and playing hard with a talented 1A team like Paris they are legit. Rock has an offense that can pass the crap out of it with a talented QB. Our offense with the quickness and ability to score will keep us in a lot of games. At the end of the day in football you just have to outscore the other team even if that means scoring 50+ points. Best of luck remainder of the season. Tonight’s game might have had a disappointing outcome for my Rockets but we will bounce back and be better from this game. You could tell our team took it on the chin and it’s up to them on how they respond. Next week starts a new season one that matters district play.
