Great win for Paris.  Next week's matchup with Rock should be a good one!

Next week Rocks come to town in what will be the toughest test of the season for the hounds. Rockcastle is the most underrated team in 3A. This will be must see tv Friday night in Paris!

Looking forward to that. Just how good are the Greyhounds?

I think that’s the question probably that others have. I think it’s clear that they are good, but the bigger question is how far will they go and who do they compare to? The best answer now is TBD, but I’d be willing to say they may be as good as Campbellsville at this point.

Can we tell if Rockcastle is under or overrated?  The teams that they have played have a combined record of 2-9.  And those 2 wins, by Grant County came over 2 teams that are 1-7.  They have played one of the worst schedules in the state.

Yes you can tell. Film don’t lie. Rockcastle is coming into the game scoring 50+ every night. Paris is only giving up an average of 6 points a game. Outside of Corbin/Douglas I think this game alone will show that both are good football teams.

One can’t ignore the obvious: a very small 1A school pretty much killed a largish 5A school which spends a ton of money on sports.  Big props to Paris!

Any team with a pulse would look good and put a running clock on all of the teams that Rockcastle has played.

As a team your only job is to beat what’s in front of you.

Just how good is Rockcastle...they avg 60 the Hounds are giving up 6 pts a game.  I was always told defense wins chips. We'll see Friday night at Blanton Collier Stadium.

Oh, for sure.  It is the coach's (or AD's)fault that they have such an awful schedule.  However, my point was that any team with a pulse would look like world beaters, and extremely fast against the teams that Rockcastle has played.  The wins that they have tell us nothing about whether they are good or not.

Back to this game:

Any way you slice it, a school like MoCo should always beat a team like Paris in football. You may have the upset every now and then but not a 27 point beat down.
