Hopefully the crew and especially the local association use this as a huge learning experience. Can’t have a play like this happen in the first quarter of the first game, on a game winner chance, and especially not in a playoff game. We also all learned something about scrimmage kicks. 

There's the good old line "Coaches/players wish they had plays back".  Highly doubt any coach or player made a mistake that egregious in this game.

Not going to single anyone out, but there were egregious mistakes on that final play by people other than the officials.

Maybe, but the holder fielded the ball and ran it into the endzone.  Perry obviously stormed the field.  Officials basic function is to know the rules.

This one is on the officials more than anyone, but if a whistle wasn't blown you'd have a penalty for illegal participation (I believe), and a closer try for the game winner. The whistle was blown though from what we can tell so you should've had a replay of the kick. Interesting scenario in rules for high school where the defense fouled making the winning kick null and void. It's a live ball foul in the NFL, I believe college as well. I'd say it's more for safety reasons at the lower levels, but the one time jumping offsides wins you the game. Crazy game.
