Reds Roster

Recommended Posts

Lots of talk today about trading a piece to make room for the prospects. Biggest talk of what to do with India…

McLain’s natural position is second and EDLC’s natural position is SS. You have CES who can play 3rd but prefers to play first. Already have a young Steer up who plays the same.

What do you do with the log jam in the infield? Personally I keep them all as long as I can. This should be Votto’s last season and you can play CES or Steer as your next 1st basemen and it will work out.

That would be a such a Reds move.   Bring up the young guys now and start the arbitration clock, then trade the good ones off in a few seasons to start yet another rebuild.

This organization needs ownership that is willing to put winners on the field for the long term, not constantly seeing what we have for the future.

Bringing them up now has no impact on their arbitration clock, unless they aren’t going to bring them up to start next year either.

If that’s the case, those in charge may be in actual physical danger.

With the 7th pick in the 2023 MLB Draft the Cincinnati Reds select Rhett Lowder RHP from Wake Forest. Also they have the Reds farm system ranked as the #3 farm system in the majors.

Also, the Reds this year do have 3 picks in the first 43 picks in the draft.

With the 38th pick in the first round the Reds select Ty Floyd RHP from LSU. He looked pretty good in the CWS.

Reds speeding up the timetable taking these college pitchers, trying to get guys who can get to the majors quicker and help this young roster sooner rather than later.
