Open Job: Highlands

I was told that Coach Ponchak resigned today to take a college coaching position out of state. It will be interesting to see who applies/gets this job. A lot of soccer talent walking the streets of Ft. Thomas.

So out of state like Ohio?  Didn’t his wife just get the job at Dixie?  So did parents run this coach off or did he create his own problems?

She did, yes. I am not sure exactly where; I was just told out of state. As to the latter question, I would say it all depends on who you ask and probably a combo of both.

Funny you say this. It is Ft Thomas. Normally can't get everyone on the same page and it starts with the School. Bad leadership right now. From the Top down. Who would want to work for that school right now. Shambles. Something I'm not looking forward to with my Young ones coming through.

OK, I'll bite, what makes the leadership the problem?  There are successful coaches in the building that have very successful programs that have been there through multiple leadership changes (Baoini, Listerman, Richey) to name a few.

Maybe the right hires are not being made, but blaming leadership on a coach's inability to manage his/her program is a cop out.

I know Dean has had interest in the past and has some coaching experience - initial thoughts are he would be a great fit for the program. Like mentioned in other threads, if all the talent comes out for HHS they will have a formidable team.

I am not familiar with Nick Breslin, on the other hand. Is he an alumni as well?
