The Diplomat (On Netflix)

I really enjoyed this show on Netflix, starring Kerri Russell and Rufus Sewell. Had a very House of Cards feel to it to me, at least the early and good seasons of House of Cards. I'll be looking forward to a Season 2.

Planning on checking it out. I heard it was like a cross between House of Cards and West Wing, does that seem true?

I've unfortunately never seen West Wing. I want to but waiting for it to go back onto a streaming service that I have access to. I can definitely vouch for half of what you heard.

I have watched the Netflix preview on it and just had a close friend recommend it, I plan on watching it soon.

Just watched the first couple and I like it. Pretty witty.

We tried it out but had to stop halfway through episode 2.  Something with Kerri Russell just seems off, I don't know if it's the dialogue they wrote, or her acting, but I just couldn't get through it anymore.  I really enjoyed her in The Americans, so not sure what's different this time around.  Also not the biggest Rufus Sewell fan.

My biggest complaint is the short season. Only 8 episodes that left a lot (if not all) of the story up in the air.
