During the delay at Pittsburgh Saturday night, prior to the start of the game, Jim Day took a tour of Greens bezillion dollar mansion in Arizona, with all of the tapestries of the rich and famous.  He has another here in Cincinnati that is in the lap of luxury.  

He needs to take a page out of Barry Larkin's playbook.  I'm sure that Larkin has equally as opulent homes, but he doesn't flaunt them all over TV.  Whether I'm fond of him or not, he has at least earned them.  Green has done nothing of a sort.  He has no "Earnings" merely speculation money. 

Perhaps he needs to produce and show those of us who put up the money that are affording him these luxuries, before he starts flaunting these and his lifestyle on TV.

Barry Larkin wasn't all sunshine and roses either. Did you know he once made a scene about a specific area to sit/wait at Montgomery Inn on the river? Even asking if they were aware he was Barry Larkin? Larkin was my childhood idol, I love him, but that screams arrogance way more than allowing your house to be filmed. 

I remember your argument about India's hair... I had more of a chance getting behind that one than this one.

Sorry, but all of these guys charities are tax write offs.  I'm sure Greene is a wonderful man, with good intentions and I'm happy that he is sharing some of his good fortune.

My point in this particular thread is that he needs to maintain a low profile, and not be flaunting all of his opulence all over TV.  To date he has done little to earn all of the perks of greatness.  Just be cool.  You are a kid six years out of high school.  Be a little more discreet about it.

My comments on Barry Larkin were specific to his not splashing his wealth  and lifestyle all over TV.  We all know that he is in love with himself, and I much prefer Brantley or Welsh as the commentator on broadcasts.  The topic here is not Larkin, but Greene. Larkin might be a jerk, but he has earned what he has.  Greene hasn't.

I can agree with the bolded! Bring back George Grande too. 

I think Brantley has improved a ton and is over all of them, and it's not particularly close. 

This contract is looking like a heck of deal with each passing start this season.  I have many complaints with this organization but this contract isn’t one of them.
