This should be a good fit.

Liberty has made some good headway in Kentucky in recent years. Kyle Rode, Colin Porter, now Jaylen Davis. All this as they make a move to Conference USA next season. 

They also have Will Gibson from DeSales committed for next year.

Ritchie McKay is a helluva basketball coach. It will be very interesting to see whether he can get Liberty up to speed quickly in a good league

Maybe, but six C-USA teams are moving to the American. The new C-USA is Florida International, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, UTEP, Western Kentucky. I see no reason why Liberty can't compete with that group.

Yeah, I knew there're a couple leaving, didn't realize there're six departing.  Still should be a decent conference.

I don’t know why Western didn’t jump at the chance to move although they should be the Kingpin in C USA
