2023 Simon Kenton Pioneers

The Pioneers replace several really good football players. Crone, Lawson, Bowling, Williams and the rest of the Seniors who graduated.

  The Pioneers will be lead by one of the top football players in the state Aba Selm 6'4 295 Senior to be will be a 4 year starter. He plays left tackle and DT. Joining him is the right tackle/DT Jake Putthoff 6'4 300. It should be a good year for the Pioneers. Size is not a issue for the Pioneers have plenty of size. They will return Cohen Schmidt 6'2 345 at DT. He start on the oline this year. They have Jr. Preston McCauley 6'1 260 who played in several games last year. Sophomore Tucker Ober should be the starting qb he played alot last year as the backup qb. Seniors to be Carter Blades 6'0 170 and Nathan Kitchens 6'1 165 returns at wide receiver. The Pioneers are loaded at RB. They return Senior to be Caleb Bleiers 5'9 180, Junior Durrell Turner 5'8 165 and Sophomore 5'7 165 Landon Brown. 

The Pioneers will be lead by Seniors Caleb Bleier LB, Mark Ober 5'11 213, CB Luke Schieber 5'8 160 and Nathan Kitchens. The Pioneers also return their kicker Andrew Petty.

It appears that SK reloads the size cabinet every year. Does not always result in wins but I am sure it is taken into consideration by opponents as they prepare their game plan.

Curious to see the Pioneers schedule this year. So far Ryle, Campbell County and Great Crossing.

SK also plays Conner. Maybe Dixie, Beechwood and CovCath also.

Aba Selm had a great showing at Rivals camp this weekend dominating in 1 on1! SK starts spring football this week!

Here's a glimpse of Aba Selm at work. This is from the Rivals camp previously mentioned two weeks ago. Best offensive lineman in the state? I can't think of anyone I'd take over him right now.
