Word is the head coach job is open now. Coach Barry resigned yesterday.

It may be a good idea to bring someone new in to the program. Coach Barry does a good job. Just maybe time for someone new to come in.

Best of luck to the Panthers in finding the right man for the job

Thank you for the link Buttels. That is a great article.

No problem

Does anyone know the candidates for a new Coach?

AD is posting job and screening committee has been formed. have heard a couple of the assistants are very interested and the rest is a waiting game on applicants. But my sources say the full process will be run.

Why is everyone so quiet about Carroll County Football right now? What is going on in Cton? And how is Coach Weedman and the football team looking this year? Any insight into what kind of offense and defense they will be running this year? What players have been standing out so far this summer? Did they attend camp anywhere?

Actually, things are buzzing in Carroll County. They had about 50 boys come out which is a big number for CC. They did go to camp at Georgetown and have been working hard. I wish they could get a break from the heat.

I look for a big year for the Panthers! Coach Weedman and his assistants have really brought a lot of excitement to the program and the community is really behind them.

I really could not speak about the players maybe someone "in the know" can tell us.

Thanks for the information. As far as "quiet" I meant here on BGP. It doesn't seem like much has been said for a while. I can't remember Carroll Co. ever having 50+ out for football (even in Coach Mac days). Coach Weedman must be doing something right!

I know what you mean about quiet on the BGP board...I hope that some of the usual posters that are closer to the program will give us some information. I believe they have a scrimmage this week.

I know the football boosters are building a nice area for tailgating.!

Seems like the excitement is back...:thumb:

I have been hearing that Coach Weedman has gone back to the spread offense. Does any one have any information on this?

CoachWife where are you? You have been awfully quiet as of late!:sssh:

I saw them at a scrimmage today and they looked to be in an "I" formation.
