Raceland 49 Louisville Holy Cross 6

Featured Replies

Dominating performance by the Raceland Rams.  The defense was the star of the game.  On offense, the Rams had two running backs over 100 yards and was able to complete passes when they wanted.

Holy Cross played a great game and played hard against the Rams.  Congratulations to them on a great season.

Mark Lewis provided a defensive scheme that shut down a powerful offense.  Raceland's defense was the difference in the game.  INT number 23 and held the Holy Cross offense to around 50 yards of total offense.  Waiting on the stats.

Raceland had four ball carriers. Four receivers that caught passes.  Two players that threw TD passes and rotated 8 on the OL.

On defense, one INT.  Rotated five on the DL.

The depth started to show in the second quarter.

Legendary defensive mind. He'll leave enormous shoes to fill on the Raceland staff. If those working under him were paying attention, they should be alright going forward.

I agree.  I hope some people were taking notes.  His level of knowledge is truly impressive.  Add that with his years of experience and it is impossible to replace him.  Plus, he is just a person that you want around and a person you want your son, or daughter, to learn from.  They don't make people like Mark Lewis anymore.

This is what Raceland people mean when we say, "Raceland is different".  You don't have to like us, you don't have to root for us, but this is stuff that people learn about Raceland when they play Raceland.  I'm always proud of the way our players treat other people, even when they don't know anyone is watching.
