Taylor struggled mightily on offense without their star running back and Tilghman gets the running clock in the 3rd quarter. 

Tilghman had several touchdowns and multiple big plays called back due to penalty. I always say they have to clean it up, but it hasn't happened yet. 

On to the next round. 

Looks like it will be Paducah Tilghman against Casey County next week.

Casey County is a big county and not very populated so it’s very rural. Love it there. My wife is from there. 

Is Tilghman going to put it all together in the playoffs again? Impressive opening round win.

When they throw the ball well to compliment the run, they can play at a high level with that stout defense on the other side of the ball. Problem is, the passing game has failed too many times this season. This would be a great time to get it together again.

Both Smith brothers were out:

 

on the season Peyton had 1242 yards rushing and 17 TD’s, 2 receiving TD’s in 7 games.

His older brother Kaden had 696 yards rushing and 10 TD’s, 4 receiving TD’s.

 

Out of 45 TD’s Taylor County scored on the year, they scored 33 of them.  Peyton, only a sophomore was the best back I’ve seen in KY this year.  Both of these young men were not allowed to play.

It's a shame they didn't get to play. They really could have used them. 34 carries for only 66 yards without.
