Raceland comes in looking to get a huge win to hopefully push them up to #2 spot in the Class 1A RPI. Raceland will also be pulling for Shelby Valley this week to beat Hazard and help move them up in that RPI to get home field throughout.
Lawrence County will also get some huge RPI points here with a win. Lawrence County sits at #6 in the RPI in Class 3A.
This match was won in overtime last year by Raceland 21-20.

Who wins this slobber knocker matchup? Does Raceland get that win and help in the RPI to over throw Hazard? Does Lawrence County avenge that heartbreaking loss last season?

I think the Rams pull this one out.  But, if anyone thinks this going to be an easy win, they are mistaken.  Lawrence has lost exactly one game, to Greenup County, and I would say they would do just about anything to have that game back for a re-do.   And, if I had a dollar for every one point game between these two school, I would probably have about $12.  I can't even remember the number of one score or less wins for these two teams.

Every school has that one opponent that plays them really well no matter how good each team is, and for Raceland, that opponent is Lawrence County.

The Dawg Pound will be rocking and look for both teams to do some things we haven't seen them do this year.  I expect Lawrence County to pass the ball more in this game then they have all year and I expect a resurrection of Bill Tom Ross as Raceland will fake a punt, run a quick-kick on 3rd down and probably have a double-pass or two.  It's going to be exciting.

Yep.  You have to get it on film so every team in the playoffs spends a certain amount of time preparing for it.

If this game was being played at Raceland, I think I'd take the Rams by two scores. But road trips to Lawrence County are always a challenge. This one may very well come down to who takes care of the football. If I'm not mistaken, in Lawrence's only loss they fumbled right at the goal line in a three point game.

Lawerence had one fumble in the game.  I'm pretty sure it happened on their last drive in the red zone.  They were driving, but it has to be looked at from a desperation situation, that they should not have been in to start with.  Kind of like the thought, "one play does not win or lose a game".
