My thoughts are these are pretty good I do think however that Highlands, South Warren, and Owensboro are a little low.

I would have Highlands #4 Cov. Cath. #5, Scott Co. #6  and South Warren #9 and Owensboro #10 imo.

Finally a 5A ranking that’s about right.

Greenwood drops more next week.

You think Scott Co is better than Owensboro and South Warren?..
Also I’m not sure if I’d have Fairdale in the top 10 either.

Not sure on Scott Co. I agree with you on Fairdale.

I’d like to think both South and Owensboro could keep it closer than a 40 point spread vs Douglass. Scott County is good but too 1 dimensional.

The RPI rankings are formula driven. It's not subjective. They are what they are....

I would still pick with great confidence Cov Cath, South, and probably Highlands to beat everyone not named Douglas or BG… and to be honest, I’m not sold on Douglas… talk about a pillow fight of a schedule… we’ll find out about them in Week 10 against Boyle.

I think in a playoff game, in the cold, at home or away... O and South lose to that team THIS season. A team that isn't used to playing McKee and that offense is in trouble.

Again, if I understand the sister district pairings, and 3rd round RPI pairings... they are making it to the 4th round.

I’d have to disagree in 2022 it’s not that hard to stop a run only team just load the box. Especially when you have a talent advantage, which Owensboro does. And they’re not the Scott county of the past either. If O got Scott County at Rash I think they’d beat them in the playoff this yr.. Throw out the O’ Cath game where the Red Devils just completely forgot to show up. They've been pretty solid. Most of the fans have been hard on them including myself due to high expectations but they are starting to peak at the right time in a sense. More skill players are getting touches outside of carbon and the defense has returned 2 crucial components (Johnson and Carbon) that have been missing since the DC game in wk 3…. I’m starting to gain some faith back into my Red Devils. My only worry at this point Is QB play.

Yes, Rash is formidable, but this season, no way O gets home field if you play them.  Yes, odds are you guys as well as several other teams are much more athletic! But, problem is McKee knows playoff ball in and out. Same way the Louisville privates are a totally different monster in the playoffs, even if they lose to someone in the regular season.

Has O played anyone this season that runs a comparable offense? It sounds good that all we have to do is shut down this one dimensional offense, but if all those players have to figure it out is a week, it's gonna be tough sledding. And those guys are on a roll!

The problem is, their offense is also a defense. Their time of possession will really mess up a high powered offense by keeping them on the the bench, in the cold. All it takes is one DE or LB  not reading his key, and they are gone for a 20+ yard gain.

Again, not just O. I strongly think they are going to knock off 2 of the currently top 5A east teams. They are really flying under the radar, and because of Douglass owning them, these teams are gonna take them lightly!

As it stands today, it could/should be Scott County at Highlands in the second round. What an early round matchup. If HHS were to lose Friday, it would be Scott Co. at Cov Cath in round 2.
