Hearing it was a really good game. 

Surprised by the score. I would have thought Highlands would be able to control the game. So Litmer scored on a long run. Did the upperclassmen QB’s play? Maybe giving the frosh time.

Tigers had the ball first and goal at the 10 with about 4:00 left in the game, and had a pass tipped and intercepted on 4th and goal from the 5. They then got the ball back with about 1:40 left and ran 2 minute offense down to about the Highlands 30 and got stopped on downs with about :40 left.

It was a really good, physical JV game between 2 good programs. I’d say Beechwood moved the ball more consistently, but obviously couldn’t punch it in. Litmer busted the first play in the 2nd half for a long 70 yard scramble for a TD, and that was the difference in the game. I believe Bottom was the QB in the first half, they had some success, but turned it over twice in the Red Zone, once on a strip fumble from behind, and once on a tipped interception.
It was a beautiful fall morning for football, and when both teams were looking at not having games, instead the kids got to play and get better, and the game will help both sides going forward.
