I know one thing. Li'l Frances is missing the boat on one of them. At one time, he had a crush on one of the young ladies, and without a doubt, she has grown up to be a lot prettier than he has.

Looking at the stats provided by Himmelfarb causes my eyebrows to raise. Anyone have a game analysis that explains the discrepancy between these game numbers and what we have come to expect (and I guess take for granted) from especially Terry and Queen.

 

Points aside, the rebounding numbers are way off from what these two usually pull off the glass. Was Shelby this much the better team, not enough misses to pull down, tired legs, Terry and Queen kept out of the paint? What goes on here? Please enlighten an absent, but interested party.

By no means an excuse, but the game was originally scheduled to begin at 8:00 and did not start until after 10:00. By then, the Lady Royals, having left school before 11:00 am, were a bit flat. They attended the Louisville women's basketball game and then sat around in the Bellarmine gym until game time...not the best was to prepare for a game, but unavoidable. Shelby County had more quality athletes on the floor...and shot the lights out. Rachelle Gray (sp?) scored at will. As regards rebounds...fewer misses on the defensive end, tired legs and as a result not the best effort.

No this is the only issue I would like you to clear up. Thank you. I also think we all live in a conflicted world.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Jed is "conflicted". The way I read it is that he didn't care for Frances post yesterday and he seems not all that fond of it today. That would appear to be consistent. With regards to that basketball game however, How are the Lady Royals going to improve their rebounding come this Friday? Do they not face an even tougher foe? I hope they can come up with a solution. At least travel will not be the reason!

Well, so far, I have been contacted by a parent of one of the team members, a second person that is very close to the Rose Hill girls' basketball program, and a third person that took that post to be a reference to the officials that worked the game.

 

Out of those, I explained my remarks to the person that is close to the program, and declined to explain them to the others. I explained my post to that individual because that person did not hide behind the anonymity of a screen name, and that person had a direct interest in the issue.

 

I have declined to explain the intent of the post for a good reason, and whether anyone else likes that or not, that is the way it is.
