Elder Panthers avenge last year's lost by out playing the Tigers in the 4th quarter. I was impressed with Elder's QB who made some good throws under pressure.

That was a good game, no shame in that loss for X.  Congrats Elder!

St. X had a few costly penalties. Especially the hold on the completion down the middle in the forth.

I agree, that killed any momentum/chance X had to win the game.

Safe travels back to Louisville, you and all fans. Players, coaches, cheerleaders. Hope, it was enjoyable despite the loss.

Worst no call I saw was when down in endzone St. X WR was clearly held and ref close by didn't call it and pass was incomplete. Other than that nothing else stuck out to me. I expect to not get calls on the road though.

Tigers outgained Elder 319-317 but Elder out rushed the Tigers 133-59 which was difference. You got be able to run the ball to win games and Elder was better at that. The last TD where Elder scored on old fashioned option play, I had to glance to the Elder sideline to make sure Coach Glaser wasn't over there calling the play. ?

I love, LOVE seeing when teams toss an option into the mix. Not something you see much of these days, you're right.

Watched the game on Hudl this morning while at the airport; fun, competitive game to watch. Both teams seem fairly even, but Elder was slightly better at the LOS and Elder's QB was able to take over especially when St. X went up 13-10 late in the 3rd quarter. When I saw in the update thread X was only able to get a FG out of that INT I just had a bad feeling, don't beat good teams with FGs. Tigers have to clean up on the pre snap penalties. Good game by both teams, now it's on to the next for the Tigers as the Rocks from St. Matthews await!

It seemed as X had some decent runs at times but just couldn't get anything consistent going on the ground. But moving forward, I think the Tigers will be ok in the run game.

I would also imagine the six sacks the Tigers gave up hurt that running total.
