Back on track, I think Boyd wins this one, but Barker will play well. I think that against Ashland he shot poorly because he was playing district games on consecutive nights coupled with the fact that he is asked to shoulder a large portion of the load on a young team and the fact that his motor never stops. I don't want to take anything away from Thomas and his defensive effort but these were factors.

The post about 100 points was a joke referring to the post by the reigning Boyd homer KOJ when he outlined how far superior Boyd was at each position. Somewhere in that you inferred a slam on Boyd, which I didn't infer. And I agree with Scooterbob that it will be very difficult on Boyd if Barker shoots that well against them. You also must realize how well thought of Barker is with he Rose Hill partisan. And with regards to respect throughout the region, if BGP is the measuring stick for RH respect, well,,,,I doubt there will be any sleep lost over the drama of it all. Respect is overrated BTW! It comes on a night in and night out basis. Should your Lions lose to the Eagles tomorrow, your respect is out the window, FWIW.

Good Luck!:thumb:

I disagree on your commit about respect, a few years ago Phil Pratt had a 5 win season, while that team might not have been respected the program and coach Pratt were not thought any less of. Two years after you win a region or have a successfull season no one remembers anyway. Its all about respect, so if Boyd loses tomorrow night I dont think coach Pratt or his program will be thought any less of. Win or lose Boyd is very fortunate to have Coach Pratt at the helm, he teaches lifes lessons first and winning second. I may be the only person that feels this way but I never had more respect for any program than Rose Hill back when they were getting beat badly every night 10 years ago. You knew what they stood for and if you didnt admire it you were a fool. Tommy Holbrook the 1st player to ever recieve a basketball scholarship from Rose Hill is one of my dearest friends,so no I think there is more to respect than you give it credit for. I honestly dont think some people will ever get over those lean years Rose Hill had in the beginning, but what they dont realize is that was when you were the envy of everybody else.

I don't know. We are headed over to Aunt Bunnies for dinner and I think she is having fish. She is a gooney googoo you know.

OH NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Aunt Bunnie just fell down the stairs......and little charlie is on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isnt she married to Gus???????

Tom is also a friend and former neighbor of mine and I respect him greatly. I also have a great deal of respect for Coach Pratt and his beliefs as much as his coaching ability. And that is not remotely what I was referring to in my post. You automatically read more into a joke between 2 individuals about how easy or not easy it might be to score a pile of points, in this instance 100. You took Scooterbobs post as a slam on Boyd versus what it was more likely intended, which was a boast of Barker. So, in closing, I could care less about how much respect I garner, Rose Hill garners, or Russell, Ashland or anyone else for that matter. This is a forum on basketball that your thin skin has turned into something more than a debate on a game. If I offended you by any of my posts, I publicly apologize. But it is still my stance that respect from program to program is as fluctuant as the stock market or KingoftheJungles batting average. Good luck against the Eagles!:thumb:

Just in case no one has heard and I only know this cause I am obsessed with movies and dvds. Delirious will FINALLY be released on dvd for the first time on February 6th. I have heard various rumours as to the long hold up, but it's classic stand up and long overdue on dvd.

No I didnt take offense to the 100 pt post....anything is possible.....My point was NOBODY ever mentions the other four players for fairview, and I think...I may be wrong but isnt this a team sport????? I think BC will win but one thing I am sure of... there will be ten players on the floor, and some bad reffing ......Barker will get his share of points, but I doint think it wil be enough to stay with Boyd the entire game....JMO....Aunt Bunny....She got a mustache....................I am as sure of that as SPINNY gettin eat up by a grounder hit by a girl....or tiny........ SPINNY arent you supposed to be workin...I am tellin the boss.......

Yes, and then you went on to lump all Rose Hill posters into a disrespectful pile, of which I am one, therefore, I was included. I stand by my point that you read into the statements something that wasn't intended. KOJ wasn't offended, I'm not sure, but Tiny didn't seem offended. Perhaps your radar was turned up. No one disrespected your Lions. MBWC41 can attest to my affinity for your Lions. Relax!

I'll promise to post that KingoftheJungle rules in the General Forum if you'll get one of those magnets that says "GooneyGooGoo Mobile" on the side of that navy blue car of yours!

Does it remotely surprise you that the YAK started all this?!

I thought my car was black...........I had one of those signs but those blasted gooneygoogoo kids ate it wit the hot wings and BBQ the other day....

Wasn't the schtick that we are referencing in RAW and not Delirious? I am too old and tend to forget things. As for a disrespectful pile of Rose Hill posters, maybe that is what they are smelling in New York. It is obvious by his avatar that the Doc has a boat so I am sure he has taken Aunt Bunny fishing with him. I sure hope she fared better than the last time he hosted me.

Navy Blue, Black,, men can't tell the difference, have you tried to sort out your sock drawer? Wow, have we got this thread of track or what?

Good luck to both teams tomorrow, I hope you have a well officiated game with no injuries on either side.:thumb:
