End of 1st

7-0 Belfry

Pirates driving. Bourbon had a nice drive with three 4th Down conversions but turned it over on downs. Belfry on the march.

Woolum had the first Belfry TD

Freshman QB Varney with the 1 yard sneak after Dre Young did some heavy lifting to cap off this drive.

Belfry 14-0 early in the 2nd.

Late game for sure.

Bourbon hits a couple nice plays but the drive stalls and they fail to convert a 4th and 2 deep in Pirate territory.

Huge run Woolum on the counter takes it inside the redone.

Same story as last drive. Young takes it to the one and then Barney sneaks it in.

Belfry 21-0

Interception Belfry

Bourbon has some fine talent on offense.

Estes is a really dynamic QB, they have some good receivers around him,  but it’s kind of playground football.

Bourbons oline leaves a lot to be desired and their defense lacks depth and size up front.

Belfry is going to be a problem the next couple years. Very young but very scary talent at the skill spots.

The Varney kid at QB is going to be special.

Chase Varney’s third rushing TD as he bounced it outside and found the goal line.

Belfry 28-0

Estes hits the jets and finds the corner of the end zone himself.

Make no doubt about it, Bourbon has some dudes on Offense.

Belfry 28-6

Belfry gets another nice drive but up against the clock they throw an interception to Santiago trying to get within scoring distance.

The chains come out to measure for for a first down. I have not seen that in a while.
