Ashland beats Shelby Valley 13-6 in the quarterfinals.

In the semis we have Russell vs. Raceland and Ashland vs. Boyd County.

In the finals it will be Raceland vs. Boyd County or Ashland.

Russell won the Tug of war which was part of the lineman challenge. 

Raceland vs. Boyd County for the 1st annual East/West Carter 7 on 7 Varsity Championship from KCU.

Raceland wins the 7on7  over Boyd County  by a score of 8-6.

Taylor County had a 7v7 event on Friday, with 20 some teams or so. I know Taylor, E-Town, North Hardin, Lincoln County and Bell County were some of the final teams in the final 8. There was a lot of talent there. E-Town won the event if I remember right. 

72 teams will be at EKU Saturday competing. Sounds like a great event if you’re trying to scratch that football itch.

I did not know that. Do you know what events the lineman will be doing?

Last year they split o line and d line and took them through position specific drills. That portion concluded with 1v1. They had a break then did the challenge. I can't recall each event but one was a med ball toss relay, sled push, tug of war. I want to say there was maybe 6 events.

Thanks for the information. I hope EKU runs their 1v1 period better than some of the stuff I see on social media. It drives me crazy when coaches hype of a video of an O-lineman hip-tossing a D-lineman with horrible form and acting like it is some dominating move. Sorry, soapbox moment there.
