The NKU Norse take on the Wright St. Raiders in the Horizon League Championship game Tuesday night at 7 pm.

Wright St. cruised into the championship game with a 82-67 semifinal win over Cleveland St. The Raiders are 20-13 on the season.

NKU applied stifling defense to Ft. Wayne Purdue in their 57-43 semifinal win. NKU is 20-11 and has won 12 of their last 14.

NKU will be going for the always difficult hat trick after winning both regular season games against Wright St. The Norse are trying to earn their 4th title in 6 years since becoming a NCAA D1 team.

This game will be on ESPN at 7 pm.

Sam Vinson was named Horizon League freshman of the year.

NKU looked like a well polished machine last night. Very good depth with high quality play off the bench last night. Great defense. Coach Horn has done an excellent job developing this team after a tough start to the year.

Really difficult to beat someone three times. Hope the Norse have a big game hiding in there! Fatigue plays a big role in these conference tournaments...but so does adrenaline lol. I think Robinson could be a factor tonight.

NKU only had 3 players go over 30 minutes last night and they played 34, 33 and 33 minutes.

Wright St. had 4 players with 35 or more minutes last night.

I agree fatigue is a factor in these tournaments and NKU should have the upper hand on that.

NKU now trailing by 3 at 4 minute time out. WS is out executing NKU at both ends. NKU can't get a stop.

NKU looks discombobulated out there.
