My comments are my opinions based on my knowledge of the facts. You made some smart-alec comment about "working security at LSU", where does that fit into the thread?

I have worked a number of years at a D! university and had many day to day dealings with student athletes. Most are normal kids, some good some not so good. However, for the most part the truly "elite" athletes are a bunch of prima donnas with "stage-parents" and entourages. They have no mors to do with the everyday goings on of student life than the man in the moon. I'll stick with my opinion.

I know what the thread was about without you pointing it out.The remark about # 13 was a joke!! If the thread was about a coach why did you mention Maurice. I sure didn't bring it up. I find it odd that all your comments are opinions and everyone else's are smart elic remarks. I also stated my opinion. I agree most of the super star athletes are spoiled brats but your comment about the parents was IMO more of a cheap shot than any other remarks in the entire thread. The parent remark was what I responded to. IMO it was way off base. But you as well as I are entitled to an opinion. I know a little about a Buckeye parent as I live next door to one and they sure do not fit the category you have mentioned so I also will stand by my opinion.

Well I guess you need to take that argument to the NCAA or OSU because if true that SWEET deal I spoke of is gone for Coach Tressel:rolleyes: Please look at the PDF of his contract. Besides calling someone a cheater is pretty harsh. As a former Marshall player who lost 2 NCAA I-AA National Championships to Jim it would be easy for me agree with you but I just don't see the man running a corrupt program at either Youngstown State or Ohio State. Heck, I even dislike OSU more since Tressel took over but I STILL have to RESPECT him as a GREAT coach;)

Why don't you share the "facts" that you're basing your opinions on. Previously in the thread you pointed to some "rumors" you heard. Which is it, rumor, or fact? There is a BIG difference. Anything that I've ever heard about Tressell has been that he's a straight arrow (football program wise). BTW: I'd be willing to bet that my sources are much more in the know than yours.

I personally feel that Tressel has a little bit of weasel in him, so if he leaves, I say college football is better off.

 

This is pretty funny coming from a Bobby Petrino fan. Do you think college football would be better off without him?

I know a little about a Buckeye parent as I live next door to one and they sure do not fit the category you have mentioned so I also will stand by my opinion.

RP is right about Tressel. He is a cheater. Why ask the parents of the athletes? Most of those parents with truly elite kids have their hands out as well. It is just a matter of time before "the vest" is the subject of a tell-all book by a former player. Maybe #13 is working on a deal right now?:sssh:

No need to talk to the parents. "He" might be the head coach at a top tier program that is hard to control every alumni, fan, or supporter of the Buckeyes but a cheater? That's a bit harsh from someone from the SEC. Coach is a class guy, not really all that detailed in comparison but a great big game coach. I was in Arizona when he took down a far superior UMiami team to win the championship but he perfected that skill from his dad, Miami, and Youngstown St. He took a chance on a kid from Warren Harding that he knew from his days at YSU and he had success his freshmen year before returning to the thug life he knew growing up. Soon after, he has hit men after him to the point where he carrying an arsenal and a bullet proof vest in a police chase. Let me guess. You know someone who knows someone who used to work at the car lot where Clarett went to get a "deal" on a car? The biggest game in Ohio St's history in 25 years is about to happen and Clarett is whining about not going to gang members funeral because he didn't fill out the form!! He can write a book all he wants but even if everything is true in his book, it will be dismissed as garbage.
