Coach Farmer is moving into new position as DuBois Academy Athletic Director. Congrats to Coach Farmer!

I had no idea he was at Ballard.

In JCPS, is the AD position a full time admin. position?

Pretty sure it's full time position. AD is a lot of work. St. X has full time AD and Asst. AD and they both stay pretty busy.

Nice! Dubois is Louisville's free-standing interpolation of Lexington's Carter G Woodson, right?

I pulled this off their website:

The DuBois Academy is open to all male students and our innovative learning environment will offer an Afrocentric and multicultural curriculum that is both rigorous and engaging. While many schools focus on academic achievement as the sole measure of success, we believe both academic and social emotional excellence are needed to raise our young lions into the kings they were meant to become. We guarantee each student will demonstrate growth becoming more adept mathematicians, readers, writers, and speakers, while also becoming better role models, listeners, and leaders in their homes and communities.

Solid! Thanks @Tigerpride94

Here's a little bit of additional reading for you @Hungover_in_Andover.

DuBois 9th grade English/Language Arts teacher Jake Williams was the head freshman football coach this past season. The school only has a 9th grade class on the high school level this year, and will expand to 9th & 10th grades next year, 9th-11th grade the following, and then 9th-12th the year after that. My assumption is that they will be fielding a froshmore team next year rather than a freshman team and a separate all-sophomore JV, but who knows.

I'm curious to see if Williams will move up the ladder to eventually become varsity head coach as the school expands, or if AD Farmer will be opening up the hiring process again for a head coach.
