DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Final. No drama this year... at least not tonight. The Aces finally get in the win column, and do so in dominant fashion. 1
Voice of Reason Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 This game is the benchmark for why strength of schedule is a more important measure of a team than their record. Coming into the game, Hancock County's SOS was the third worst in all of 2A. Owensboro Catholic's SOS was the third best in all of 2A. And that is how an 0-4 team beats a 5-0 team 47-0. 4
Brown Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Hancock loads on cupcakes each year. They would rather say we are 8-2 than actually be good.

In Hancock’s defense they are not a powerhouse program and I’m sure they schedule games that they can compete in I don’t see anything wrong with that. The only reason OC plays such a tough schedule is because they play all the other teams in the county Hancock doesn’t have that option because they are the only team in the county. I don’t think you should bash teams for scheduling to be competitive. It would be different if they were 5 time state champions. 1

Came off wrong. I just meant to say if you want to beat Catholic year in and out schedule a little tougher. And they have had some good players and good records, it’s not like they are 2-8 each year. I wouldn’t say that if they have no hope, they do. 1
The Flea Market Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 OC must be getting some help from Brian Kelly! On a roll!
