6A #4 Manual (4-0) travels to La Salle (OH) (3-1) after defeating 4A Valley 61-0. La Salle is coming off a 48-27 defeat of 6A #3 Trinity.

Manual has a good defense that has only given up 3 touchdowns in 4 games. QB Darrien Wilson threw 3 touchdown passes against Valley. Stud RB JuWaun Northington was injured in previous game and not sure if he played against Valley or what his status is this Friday.

La Salle is now ranked the #3 team in Ohio by Calpreps computer rankings. 
 

Last year La Salle defeated Manual 17-7.

Can Manual's strong defense be enough to pull the upset at La Salle?

I think Manual can hold it closer than most think.  But I don't think they can win.

Northington's availability is of paramount importance to Manual's chances here. He basically was the offense against La Salle last season, accounting for about 90% of Manual's yards. He's good enough to at least keep them in the game if he's healthy. 

A low scoring game like last year is probably Manual's best chance at victory. I can't see them keeping pace in a shootout. 

Pulling for the Crimsons, but picking the Lancers. 

This is a very interesting match-up. I know they've played in the past. But this will be very telling of where Manual stands in 6A. I suspect the Crimsons keep it closer than Trinity could, but a high scoring affair none the  less.
