Teddy Meiers hurt hand and should be back at some point. Micah Carter a question mark. I saw video of him getting injured and didn't look good. I'm just hoping guys get back healthy by playoffs.

Defensive coaches are losing their minds over those numbers, but everyone got to enjoy a great high school football game.

Yep.  Someone said before the game with it being a hot night will X’s depth be a factor, I thought no, but it was dead on.  On defense I think the entire D line was out save Barksdale. Carbon at safety cramped and never returned, Taylor and Moorman were out for a time, Clark missed most of 2nd half.  O was playing with probably 5-6 out on defense.  The point is that Fallin said due to COVID 10-day period our conditioning sucked. X didn’t punt but our 1s on defense were at least forcing some 3rd and medium, and an INT.  The 2nd half was like knife meet butter.  X depth was huge and their condoning.  On offense we had many backups in in 2nd half.  When O was driving to try and tie at 38, in X territory Wimsatt threw a nice pass on 4th and 5ish, right through WRs hands.  He is about #8 on depth chart.  X depth was a major factor.

‘I will say thanks to X - loved watching the game and it will help O focus on weaknesses.  I think X is going to be a load in 6A.  Sivori throws a nice ball and Duddy is nearly indefensible.

I rewatched Carter injury.  I hope he is ok but Miller was blocking pretty good (EKU offer so far) and shoved him back and Carter grabbed his left leg as he crumpled.  I don’t know if Miller heard anything but he immediately reaches down for Carter and alerts the ref.  It really bothered Miller .  Prayers for a speedy recovery he is a great one.

I knew before I saw the clip it was a knee injury, but his ankle is what first grabbed my attention. Then saw him grab his knee.

I think St.X defense wore down after two defensive ends went out then just have back ups plus trying to chase after Wimsatt scrambling round whole game which can't catch him. Was missing Panariello who led team in tackles last year. LB  Eli Monks was also out who contributed as freshman last year. Can't have that many guys out against great offensive team and not wear down in long, steamy game. Fortunately the offense didn't have injuries played very well. I'm just hoping to be healthy by playoffs. I think this game was great for both teams to learn what need to work on. Looking at Owensboro schedule, I think they are going blow teams out. I was really impressed with the Owensboro RB Carbon.

Biggest stat - 0 punts by St X.  I’m thankful Coach Fallin scheduled this game.   Let’s lose Apollo, DC and Catholic next year too!  I did here maybe Apollo is out.

If X and O (no tic tax toe pun intended) can stay healthy, both should be contenders to win a state title.

I think you mean Barksdale - the DE turned RB had over 100 yards rushing.  I saw his ability during the scrimmage.  Although Carbon and Taylor share carries as well.

They were both good.

It was a pretty good offensive showing for St. X considering that their starters had no scrimmages.  Not many penalties, not too much sloppy play.  Not so much for the defense.  Regardless of the injuries, it was not good for a team to be able to run the ball like that against X.

I thought the difference in the game was the success of the St. X special teams and the poor punt team of Owensboro.  The offenses of both teams moved the ball pretty much at will, and the defenses of both teams did very little.

Good thoughts.  I think being first game and canceled scrimmages for both contributed to poor tackling, not to mention a hot August game with players getting injured or cramping.  I look for both squads to tighten up.  That said you have some great offensive firepower for both teams.  I agree on special teams.

Tigers get win by great play of QB Sivori. Owensboro QB Gavin Wimsatt showed why he is  a Mr. Football candidate with his impressive arm and running ability. Was great game!

St X proving me wrong. Impressive win.
