I didn't get a final score for the scrimmage, but I saw a handful of highlights from the Campbell County vs. Beechwood scrimmage a week and a half ago, and Campbell County's QB Keegan Hill doesn't look too bad. He still has a little bit of work to do on his longer passes, and he's not the hardest runner I've ever seen, but he has some solid fundamentals, looks comfortable in the pocket, and is also at the beginning of his junior year, so he has some time to develop on what looks to me to be some decent strengths. Campbell County had a couple of nice players up front in the trenches too...no idea on the names for those guys though.

I haven't heard much out of the New Cath crowd, but I did see that they lost their scrimmage to 5A Conner 24-0 in three quarters of varsity play.

In scrimmage action, it's tough to say what you're really dealing with when you've got a NCC, a 1A program with a roster of 36 (including 8 frosh & 10 sophs) against a 5A Conner program with a roster of 56 (including 0 frosh & 16 sophs)...similarly, the same point can be made of 6A Campbell County against 2A Beechwood in a scrimmage.

The final from Beechwood/Campbell was 7 TDs to 1 in favor of Beechwood when the varsity was in. I think both Campbell and NCC are going to struggle this year, so this should be a good game.
