Any info on the girls freshman teams?

Highlands is undefeated. They have advanced to the gold medal pool at the Scott tournament. The defeated NDA, Ryle and Boone Co. to advance. How are the other teams doing this season?

HHS freshman girls won the Scott Christmas tourney. Defeated SK in championship game. Devin Bressler was tourney MVP. Alex Sorrell and Allie Conner also made the all tournament team

Congrats to coach Joe Finnegan and the young ladybirds. Team consists of 4 frosh, 4 8th graders, and a 6th grader. Scott put on a top notch tourney. Thanks to coach Klette and all the Scott coaches and volunteers.

When did he switch over to HHS from NCC?

Who are the best FROSH in the 9th this year? The only one I'm aware of (I don't follow girls FROSH at all, admittedly) is Katie Ammerman of NDA. I know how good she is, but who else is really strong in that class up here.

Ammerman is very good. Devin Bressler ( Highlands) won tourney MVP at the Scott tourney. HHS played and defeated NDA in the 1st game of the tourney. The tournament was set up in AAU fashion with 4 pools. Check out HHS pool. HHS, NDA, Boone and Ryle. THat was tough.

This is Joes 1st season with HHS. With Joe and Bill Petty ( varsity asst) added Coach Richey has put together a stellar staff.

It's tough, IMO, to gage freshman records since so many freshman play up and don't play on te freshman teams

Definitely hard to gauge freshman talent when they are playing JV and V. Have seen some freshman talent on the Holy Cross, Highlands, NCC and Dixie Varsity teams. Not sure of any names but would like to know so we could keep track of how they are doing the rest of the year.

Yes, many teams play frosh up. Highlands included. So we are not following the frosh classes per say, but the frosh teams, whether they be all frosh or some younger players. I know NCC and HHS have younger players playing on their squads and do not seem to suffer for it. So lets just follow the teams, and enjoy the top level of basketball exhibited by these athletes regardless of the grade they are in.:thumb:

Didn't get to see the last game, but i think the young ladybirds won by 5. You're right, should be a good game.
