Sims pitches out of his own bases loaded, 1 out jam in the 9th to send it to extra innings. Tied ip 3-3.

That's good news for the Reds. They are 8-2 in extra innings and have the most wins in extra innings in baseball.

Reds plate two in the top of the 10th. Castellanos with a single to drive in the MLB assigned runner, then Suarez sac fly adds the second run.

Doolittle on to try and save it against the top of the Twins order.

Doolittle faces the required three batters - double, single, sac fly. Game tied. Hendrix comes on to strike out Cruz and get a pop out to send us to inning 11. Hendrix probably back in the 11th. Only Hembree left in the bullpen.

Reds cannot plate a run against the Twins worst pitcher in the top of the 11th.

Reds offense fails again in the 12th.

Hembree allows a HR. Reds lose 7-5.

Pin another loss on bad offense IMO. This road trip keeps bringing back thoughts of the Reds offense in the playoffs last year.

You have a 5-3 lead going to bottom of 10 and bring on Sean Do-nothing?  Guy needs to be gone.  Sims throws one inning in last 5 days and cannot go 2?

At end of the day, the issue is with the front office being unwilling to find bullpen help.

This is where I am heading.  I think the thought process so far has been, if we can just stay close until Lorenzen gets back.  Stupid thinking, because you may be out of it by then, or blown out the good guys you do have, due to over-usage.

I agree with you. Sims has gone 2 innings even recently. He did throw a lot of pitches and was lucky to escape the 9th, but I still would have started the 10th with him on the mound. The Reds needed that win.

TJ Antone activated today. That is huge.

I have commented on this before. The Reds tradng Iglesias for nothing is one of the worst moves in Reds history. This bullpen is very different with him on the team. And they gave him away while he was on a team friendly contract.

Today, the Reds have taken a 4-2 lead in the 5th. Miley pitching for the Reds.

Wow, 2 more base running boo boos, this team is just pathetic at running the bases!!! Every year it seems too!!  For all of the good things Winker does he does not know how to run the bases AT ALL!!

UNREAL!!!!  5 run lead and Warren gives the first batter a 4 pitch walk!!!!!!!!   JUST UNREAL!!!!!  Followed by a 2-run tater of course!!!!  Bullpen is just embarrassing!!!  Guess the Brewers series was just an aberration!!
