June 19, 20215 yr Not sure I’ve seen someone as mad as Joey Votto was in a long time. Have to think the home plate umpire said something as he walked away. Votto’d original beef seemed to be with the third base umpire.

June 20, 20215 yr Author As bad as this series has gone for the Reds, a win today and they are 4-3 on the road vs. the Brewers and Padres. Most of us would take that looking at it last Sunday. Really need a win today. I give the Reds the edge in the pitching matchup today with Castillo coming on strong lately facing Lamet for the Padres. Reds still 3 games out of first coming into today.

The hitters were shut down by Padres starters in 3 of the four games. The Reds relievers just aren't good enough and cost the Reds two of the games. It wasn't mental or emotional. It was getting beat by a better team.
