I was told today that Brent Slusher might be enrolling early at Auburn. If this is true the Bobcats would be without a solid inside presence. Can anyone confirm this situation?

I have heard this as well. If true, this would hurt the Bobcats. My question is why would they have been playing him?

When could he enroll?

Not real sure on this aspect. I now several big football schools are taking their recruits early and getting them in the weight room, enrolled in school and so forth. Again I heard this today. Not sure if it is true or not. I was told he had enough credits to graduate and would be heading south to the Plains of Alabama when the new semester starts in January. Might just be some wishful thinking by the Bobcats opponents.

Slusher didn't play last year, so it's not like they aren't used to playing without him. Turner started at center last year.

 

It would hurt their athleticism though, as well as their ability to overpower people inside.

SLusher is a 6'4 kid that has a vertical jump of about 40 inches. He does not lose much between his first jump and his second jump on the glass. I would say his 40 yard dash is in the 4.5 4.6 range and he weighs about 230 or so. Not bad for Southeast Kentucky. We do not get many athletes like him in our region. Too say they would miss him is an understatement. Turner is not quite as skilled and many have questioned how he remains a starter for the Bobcats.

If this youngman plan on playing at Auburn he better get there as soon as he can, if not he will be 2 years away from playing. If he stays at Bell, he takes a big chance on getting hurt and we know that university can always back out of scholarship with they like.(Louisville and Durham)

I'm not sure if this is a facelift. He seems like one of Bell's best players and he's leaving.

Good news for the Bobcat basketball team, but it sounds as though it may get ugly before it is completely settled.

He will enroll on Jan 9th, at Auburn. He will play through the Cumberland Falls and then will exit to Auburn. If he doesn't he should give up the first year and plan on not even making the traveling squad at Auburn.

I think hes better off to redshirt anyways. His 1st year he can really learn the system and develop. Brent is a great kid and I will support him regardless of what he ends up doing.
