Corey Hoskins took the job then 10 days later resigned to join Perry Central's staff. Owsley AD Bobby Bowling was then named head coach.

Neil Terry is now the head coach at Owsley County.

Per the Booneville Sentinel, Coach Terry previously spent 4 years as head coach for the middle school, and 2 years as head JV coach, and has been the JV coach and head assistant coach at Jackson County since then.

Neil’s son, Xander, is repeating his senior season under the new bill passed by the Kentucky legislature. He was a starter last year for Jackson County. His dad was the JV coach for the Generals for head coach Greg Parrot.
Xander will bring experience to the Owls, who have three other starters returning.  This will make his 6th year as a varsity starter. He started varsity for Owsley as an eighth grader before transferring to Jackson City for the start of his freshman season.
