December 19, 200619 yr I actually like it. AI can play with a nice young core of talent (as opposed to a young core with no talent in Philly) and an experienced veteran C in Marcus Camby... Melo and AI were teammates on the olympic team a couple of years ago... People seem to look over the fact that even though Iverson averages over 30 PPG, he also averages over 7 APG. I don't think this match is going to win a championship this season by any means, but I definitely think it'll work.

December 19, 200619 yr I'm not sure that giving up 2 1st round draft picks is a great decision either. Next year's class is expected to have a lot of talent in it, assuming that there are plenty of "1 & done's" this year in the college ranks.

However, I'm fairly sure that Iverson is going to be playing with a lot to prove, and knowing everyone will be watching, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

With this trade Denver is expecting to have some very late draft picks over the next couple of years.
