Scott 51 Bishop Brossart 34 (37th District Semis)

Recommended Posts

Eagles limit our Mustangs to a single point in the third quarter, win the period 9-1, expand on what was a three-point, 21-18 chess game halftime lead, to 30-19, nurse the lead into the fourth and hit their free-throws down the stretch gaining a five point edge from the stripe, to prevail and advance by a 51-34 decision , ending the Mustangs' "makeshift" season at 13-11.

The Eagles, now 15-8, were led by Scott Junior big-man, Cameron Patterson with 14, Deasni Lane dropped 13, and the KABC 10th Region Player of the Year, Grant Profitt added 12

Carson Schirmer was the only Brossart double-figure scorer with 12.  Schirmer completes his career at Brossart as the 11th Place All-Time Scorer with 1,185 Points, and will hold four school records despite missing the first nine games of his senior season.  Stephen Verst has established three additional school records.

Scott advances to play Campbell County, who handled Calvary Christian in Claryville, Wednesday night in the 37th District finals at 7pm in Taylor Mill.

Got ya! I thought Brossart was better than that. Thank you for the info!

The Mustangs could never get their entire squad together due to injury and quarantine.  They had some good games throughout the year.  Congrats to Scott and thank you to the Eagle fans for applauding the Brossart seniors in their final game.

Absolutely correct.  Between pre-season injury, during-season injury and COVID; there were precious few minutes - not mention games - where BB had a full roster with which to work.  The Verst injury late in the season was ultimately too much to overcome.
