Say what you want, Boston was not better at any of those things you asked about Allen, not one!  And I’m not an Allen homer, just straight up compare them and he’s not!

He had more stars coming out of high school. That’s why he lets Boston play through his mistakes and doesn’t want to take his heart away. Allen was the only reason KY was in the game with a chance to win it yesterday, and CALs first comment after the game calls Allen out for missing a screen. He throws Allen under the bus while defending his 5 stars.

Exactly!!  Cal is afraid other schools will use that against him in recruiting if he sits a 5 star in favor of a recruit with less stars by their name, he’s proven that

Yet that has been shown not to be true too. Shoot don’t even have to go far back to show that is not true, and how he basically regulated Khalil Whitney to the bench. Or the year before that, when Tyler Herro was starting over Quade Green. Or when Skal who was a top recruit, and Cal basically kept restricting his minutes as the year went in.

Did Cal mess up at the beginning of the year not giving Allen really a chance in December, absolutely. Let’s not act like he kept being unfair to him after December. Allen was getting really good minutes for a few weeks, and then started to cool off. Which when that happened, he literally wasn’t bringing much to the game. Then honestly UK had that stretch where offensively UK was doing really well, with him getting limited minutes. So was no real reason for him to get more minutes. Then this game, he was hot again, and literally played every minute besides one minute in the second half of a do or die game, because Allen was on.

I’ll agree with this

It's ok to have an opinion as well. You have yours and I have mine neither is no more important than the other. Believe it or not you could be wrong as well. Heck we both maybe wrong. It's a opinion that's all. Plus if you come in as a 4 or 5 star recruit I think a lot more should be expected compared to a kid coming off major knee surgery. To each his own. Have a good evening.

Agree with that! Definitely much more was expected out of Boston. Coming in he was suppose to be the type of recruit many guys like JA has said Cal had been not getting lately. So no argument here that Boston didn’t live up to the expectations for him this year. However, just because a 5 star recruit didn’t live up to the high expectations, doesn’t mean he still isn’t better in a lot of the areas that initially started this conversation, which you stated he was not better than Allen in any of those areas. Which is where we  disagree.

For what it is worth I wanted to see Allen play more. My favorite players at UK has always been the guys who can shoot threes. Allen was one of, if not my favorite player on the team.  Not because he is from Ky, but because he can shoot the three so well. I love players who can shoot the three. I loved seeing him play basically every minute in the second half, and everything he shot the ball I thought it was going in. However, just because I love Allen a lot more than Boston. I’m not going to let that bias make me say Allen is better in all these other areas than Boston. Boston truly can do a lot more than Allen. However, what Allen had was he was at least great in one specific thing this year and that was shooting. Which is something especially early in the year, UK should have taken advantage of. Considering at the beginning of the year, the other players couldn’t make any shots at all.

Both instances can be true. Believing overall Boston was capable of doing much more than Allen is capable of. While also still loving Allen and believing Allen could have been used more this year.
