Augusta 63 Burgin 47

Recommended Posts

Augusta wins but it still was not pretty.

Matt Groves led the scoring with 18, Jeremy Hardymon 15, Dustin Staggs 9, Josh White 7, Cummins and Hamilton 4 each. S.White, Krebs, and Fryman 2

To me this game was way closer then it should have been. Burgin played most of the game without who seemed to be their best player who went out early in the game.

Augusta Jv won also. 52-39 against the same Burgin team. Chris Mofford led the Game with 23 points he went 11 of 14. Also Pulled down about 10 rbs and blocked 5 shots. Great game young man.

Brayde Hamilton 10, Ty Krebs 9, Ryan Kelsch 6, Jo Jo Gray 4

Next Game is DEC 21 at Pendleton Co. Rose Hill game Dec 19 is canceled

Much needed win for the Panthers to stay above .500. Interesting to note though the margain of victory of the varsity and JV games were nearly the same. If I'm not mistaken Burgin's JV and Varsity teams are nearly if not completely identical. I just find it odd the Varsity did not win by more.

Still good way to end a three game losing streak. Big game on Thursday at Pendleton County. I believe the Panthers are very capable of winning this game, but if they show that on the floor may be a different story. Regardless, should be a good measuring stick to see just where this team is. Are they able to compete with the Regions 2nd tier teams where they were a BGP preseason region top 10? or are they still dwelling near the bottom 6 or 7 of the 10th? We will soon find out.

Good win for the panthers. Mofford impressed me Sat. Good game!

That's a bit sarcastic.

Why are you on this kid so much? He's just a sophomore and a work in progress. No one said he dominates. Anyone who is 6'6" is a factor when you're playing kids that are dominating ya down low getting easy layups.

You are correct that they were the same team, Varsity had one other player that did not start. Burgins leading scorer with 18pts in JV game got hurt early in the varsity game ( end of 1st ). Thats what was interesting to myself too. Kinda made a point that the Augusta JV players can add two the varsity game both offense and defense. Another interesting point is that it was also Burgins 3rd game since friday night when they played Cov. Latin. I would have expected a much larger margin of victory having seen all 3 games.

I love looking for Augusta Posts on BGP because i can always expect a good arguing between fans from the same town. Gosh people quite praising on whose better or what some players can add to the game and stand behind the kids that are out there. Not every kids is going to play every game, thats why you dress 15 and play 5.
