Ballard 98 Rose Hill 68

I know you guys will.

I was not making reference to the girls at all. It is just like all posters on here when your team does well you want to crow about it.

All members are like that. Just throwing it out there so you could spike it like a beach ball old buddy.

We are proud of the development of the program under Coach Fraley and look forward to the return to better days. However, I would hope, and I believe, that Rose Hillers will let accomplishments of the teams do the speaking rather than hot air from any of us. In other words, I don't look for any Rose Hillers to issue any "warnings" now or in the future.

44-38 at the half.

No way anyone would have thought it would be that close at halftime. The Royals stayed with them 2 1/2 quarters and did some growing up and earned a little respect in the process, but Ballard was ultimately just too much.

No shame in a great effort. :thumb:

Looking at the boxscore ... 37 turnovers. Ouch.

Still, a good showing this week for a young team stepping way up in experience and competition.

Ballard, Warren Central, Fairdale and Male play in the semi-finals. It's hard to imagine any of them knocking off Ballard for the championship. Ballard is just too deep and too talented this season.

Saw the game. Its great seeing a bunch of Young players believing they can compete with anyone. This comes from playing AAU against the best players in the country. Shooter3x was right. RH wore down the second half. The first half I think you seen the future. This team will be the type team that can compete at the state level. Not this year, but sooner than people think. On certain nights they are as good as anybody in the 16th and better than most. This team still has some growing pains ahead but most of them are behind them. Its got to be fun doing your growing up at the King of the Bluegrass playing teams like Ballard and Central. These teams will make you grow up fast. Im a firm believer you dont get better playing a weak schedule. There is no doubt Euton and Jackson are special players. What suprised me was the other players excepting their roles. Toney Aurthur plays as hard as anyone Ive seen, Fuller is one of the top three point shooters in the region. Johnny Bush gives you everything he has and dont make many mistakes. Malloy is gona be a good one also. Its gona be a fun ride for the Rose Hill program. They can finally walk into any gym in the 16th region and know they have a chance to win.:thumb:

The entire Rose Hill team just attended the Indiana University/Southern Illinois basketball game at the invitation of the IU coaching staff. The boys had front row floor seats, and several were seen on ESPN. They got to shake hands with some of the IU players, and had a great time in Bloomington. :thumb:

Word is that Indiana, Xavier and U.K. will be at the K.O.B. Monday to watch Euton and Jackson for the Hill.

It does seem that Scooter's boy posts have quadrupled compared to years past!!!:ylsuper:(at least the last 3-4 yrs!) Wonder if the Royal Blue pullovers from the O.J years will be dusted off soon??? :thumb:

Actually, rams78, I have noticed a few of the old sweatshirts lately and they are being worn by some whom we haven't seen around Stewart Gymnasium since the end of the 2002-2003 season. As robins are a sign of spring, returning fans are a sure indication to a school that better days have likely arrived.

I haven't seen any actual O.J. memorabilia. I think all of those are being held as investments. After Billy's fast start at Kansas State, I look for his items to join O.J.'s.

By the way, the Ballard score was 98-66. No big deal but we want to be correct.

Warren Central will give Ballard a game. Ballard might be the deepest team in the state. It should be Male vs Ballard Tomorrow night for the KOB title.
