Great game early!

Ashland came out on FIRE hitting 6 straight 3s and leading 22-17 at the end of 1.

BG has fought back and now leads 32-30 in 2Q

YOu can watch at stbntv.com

2 really good teams!

Is this game streamed or on radio?

Using my edit button. Just saw you posted my answer above .^

Bowling Green was down ten and then went on a 26-5 run. They’re that type of team this year.

At the half it is BG 43 and Ashland 34.

Really good game and back and forth action!

I'm really impressed with Ashland.  They have some shooters!  And their point guard is very very crafty and game smart.

For BG, they have just hung around and starting to find their rhythm.

Should be a great second half.  Again you can watch it live or on demand at www.stbntv.com

I recalled from last year that Ashland shoots and makes a lot of threes.  But that places an extremely high burden on making a lot and/or finding a way to get offensive rebounds.  The problem is that Bowling Green rebounds extremely well.  When the threes stopped falling, that was basically it for Ashland.

Sophomore Colin Porter is the PG you mentioned. He’s one of the better guards in the state. And I’ll put the other guard, Junior Cole Villers, up against any shooter in the state. He’s high percentage from long range but scored in many ways. I think he’s around 6’3 or 6’4.
They are both D-1 prospects for sure.

I’m not to able to pick up the game but if Bowling Green is the Purples I’m accustomed to seeing at the state tournament they are always very athletic and talented. A difficult test for anyone in most years, especially in Bowling Green. I’ve always been impressed with their athletic programs.

Final BG 83

Ashland 57

Good game by both teams!  Safe travels to the Tomcats!
