Greenwood travels about 4 miles down Scottsville Road to Bowling Green to test the Purples for the second and final time of the strange 2020 season.

Greenwood last played on November 5th and pulled out a nice 22-21 road win at Allen County-Scottsville.  And the Gators come in with a nice 6-2 record.  And I'd probably put them just outside the Top 10 if I had to rank state-wide 5A teams.  But SR QB John Morrison was injured during the Christian County game and that is a difficult spot/leader to replace for GW.  They do have some nice players as SR RB David Odom is an explosive runner when allowed into space.  The Gators have nothing to lose in this game.

Bowling Green comes into this game having last played at #1 and Nationally Ranked Trinity and lost handily 42-7.  The Purples are 5-2 on the year and in most everyone's Top 5 in 5A.  BG is loaded with Seniors on the offensive side of the ball, but their defense has really carried them this season, where they have not given up 2 TDs in any game this season save the Shamrocks of course.  BG hasn't lost to Greenwood.  Ever. It would be a HUGE upset for the Gators to go to El Donaldson Stadium and upset BG.  What does Greenwood have to do to stay in this game?

Excited to get to see some HS Football tomorrow night! Pretty sure the Purples will handle business .. I believe all starters are due to play. All kids are both sides I’m sure are hungry to get back out under the Friday night lights..

The Purples haven’t played since their game against Trinity. They took the BIG “L”.. but walked away uninjured pretty much. Trinity is just in a league of their own. For Cooper to not have been sacked at all that night was actually incredible. He was definitely running for his life from the sound of the snap for sure!!
Does Greenwood have a QB they’re comfortable with now ? May be a tighter game if so!
Glad these young men get to keep playing and finish out their season !!

BG 47-7.  Let's getting the running clock early and get out

That 4 mile trip on Scottsville Rd can seem like an eternity depending on how many lights you hit (at least when I lived down there).

BG keeps their winning streak alive against Greenwood tonight. Could be a competitive 1st quarter, maybe half, but BG will just be too much for the Gators.
