Estill County Board of Education approved facitilies upgrades including a brand new turf football field and a 8 lane rubberized track. 

Upgrades include:

New Football Field (Turf)

8 Lane Track

New Visiting and Grand Stand bleachers/press box.

Weight Room/Field House additions

Ticket Gate

and much more.

This is the final project of a 35$ Million renovations. This project will be a littler under 11$ Million.

 

Good for them, much needed. That field gets a ton of use so turf is a tremendous upgrade. I’m glad to see bleacher improvement, too. The visiting side has always been less than stellar at an otherwise pretty cool place to see a game. 

Glad to hear it for the Engineers.  They've needed an upgrade for a long time.  

Will the visiting bleachers be elevated? Current setup (with all of the Estill students constantly walking in front of the visiting bleachers) was a pain.

They still have the caboose for a pressbox?

I'm not sure. I'm assuming since the bleachers will be put where the caboose is now on the visitors side.

No. The only caboose they have behind the visiting bleachers side. The caboose that was beside the field house was removed. They use a press box that sits up behind the grandstands.
