Punting on every down instead of addressing the threat of terrorism is what led to 9/11.

Apparently, Nancy has a lot of favors to repay.

Actually it was ignorning threat notices from our intel agencies, ie "Bin Laudin determined to strike inside the United States" that caused 911.

Back to the thread topic, please.

Why would anyone put themselves in a position to take a test like this anyway?

Uh...like a top government position???

This was a reporter from CQ asking the questions. He wasn't taking an entrance exam for the job. He wasn't being grilled by a House panel. He is a seasoned politician that should have been skilled enough to avoid these landmines. Reporters ask questions of these candidates all the time waiting for a screw up... It's like when George HW Bush was asked, How much is a gallon of milk? Not being able to answer shows your out of touch with the common man. Even though you haven't been in a grocery store in years doesn't matter. The fact that you probably know more about macro economics than most economics professors doesn't matter... Honestly, I think he should have declined to answer those questions if he didn't know the answer. More importantly, he shouldn't be placed in or run for a job that he is not qualified for...
