I'm a huge fan of musicals in person but I'm not usually a fan of them on television (I don't count West Side Story and the like that were adapted for the screen but with the same songs). I'd like to first see Hamilton on stage but the tickets are outrageous.

The filming of this is very well done. If you like musicals, I think that you'd like the way this turned out.

What's everyone's favorite song?

For me, I think it has to be the Rewind song that Angelica sings while she's giving her Maid of Honor speech.  She's unreal in that rap.

Second for me would be It's Quiet Uptown.

So many good ones.

"My Shot" because those two words have so many different meanings throughout the musical.

My wife and I enjoyed watching it tonight.  I agree with previous comment about watching it with subtitles.

I love the cabinet meetings with Hamilton and Jefferson. Those are hysterical. Also anything with Angelica in it is amazing. My favorite song has to be You’ll Be Back and all the adaptations of it throughout the show. King George is so great.

They did a great job filming it. It’s actually spliced together from 3 separate shows. 2 with live audiences and one without. All the closeup shots come from the one without a live audience so the cameramen can be on stage filming.

After watching the movie, I'm grateful, in this day and age, that it is unlikely that someone will challenge me to a duel if they disagree with me.

Except in Jersey. ?

In that case, I doubt that it is an honorable arrangement of 10 steps, turn and fire.

I have zero love for musicals as a general rule. It's just too much over-the-top for me (this coming from a Monty Python fan). I have heard some of the songs as I am a regular NPR guy and it comes up on there a lot. I don't dislike what I've heard, but I'm not gonna sit through 2 hours of that stuff.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm not a big musical guy.  My wife is now obsessed, so we are on the 4th watching since it landed on Disney+.  I dare not complain since  I've made her watch reruns of games over COVID.
