Plandemic - Coming Summer 2020

Looking objectively, this documentary is based around the theories of Judy Mikovits, who claims to not take issue with vaccines on the whole, yet surrounds herself with scores of the most staunch and visible anti-vaxxers out there. Her book is published through the same publisher that put out Andrew Wakefield's books - he's the former doctor who lost his medical licensure for completely fabricating study results to create the "vaccines cause autism" fallacy in 1998 (at the same time as he was personally trying to patent his own vaccine for measles silently behind the scenes). She certainly has very questionable associates.

Anyway, the results of Mikovits' only major study, one on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, had to have the majority of its content retracted after she, as well as 10 different research teams could not replicate her results.

I can't help but question the credibility of the individual this "documentary" is getting its facts from.

Good post.

With the advent of social media it seems we have become more and more anti-science and for the life of me I cannot figure out why. I suppose it is to hold on to something. Is there some semblance of truth in these conspiracy theory videos? Sure. But the level to which some of these theories go, we are talking 1000s of people would have to be behind it. First off, that would be impossible, but ok, let's say they are. What is the end game? "They want to control your every move." Who does? Why do they want to control my every move? Guess what, like 99% of of us, my daily interactions are kind of boring. I have nothing really to hide.

Do I believe some ulterior motives exist among leaders, typically in the name of $$$? Without a doubt. People profit off crisis. That has been going on for thousands of years. But the depths, lengths, and webs of deceit people create is nothing more than their own money making hoax because people will believe whatever narrative they want to believe.

The video has been removed. Presumably because the video is loosely based on facts and heavy on things that are not true. But the conspiracy theory crowd will tout, "see, it is removed because 'they' do not want the truth exposed." And herein lies the problem. The mind is already made up with how you want this video to come across.

Well said. Thank you!

And if people have been controlling all facets of my life, I would say in America we have a good crew compared to other countries. Keep up the good work... I guess?

And to clarify, I am not against challenging prevailing wisdom. We should be doing that. For instance, with the whole COVID-19, I do question how we count certain deaths, I question how well masks really do, and I worry about creating a more sick culture because we over-sanitize our bodies. But I do not take each of those and believe there are vast conspiracies tied to the The Illuminati. Can't an idea just be good or bad without having a back story that only Nicholas Cage's character in National Treasure can solve?

Preach on brother!

That’s where I’m at as well. Sometimes things just are what they are. Not everything is a conspiracy. I don’t understand the notion to constantly dismiss everything that is presented from the mainstream and accept any alternative as fact.
