April 19, 20206 yr Author Kiner is the final piece in Cincy, maybe he will further speed up his decision. How about Kentucky not having a top 30 kid in Ohio right now? That’s shocking. Having both Mao and Collinsworth is definitely more ammo for the staff to use trying to land CK. That side of the line is set. Was hoping UC could have gotten Rodriguez from Mason too but can't consider that a miss since they got Collinsworth instead. OSU recruiting Ohio harder seems to have taken a few kids that might have ended up at UK in past years. Smith or Johnson of LaSalle was thought to be a UK lean at one point, if I'm remembering right.

The bigger story here is that it could be a sign that Fick is going to be around for 4-5 more years. UC sitting at #19 nationally with Fickell and Monrrow not adding any points because of no composite ranking. Awesome for Landon, not a highly rated kid but he will be productive by his senior year. Really hard worker! The million dollar question is, will his dad even up coaching him? I don’t think so, by the time Landon cracks the 2 deep.

Think whatever Amy wants to do will determine that ... With Fick bringing in the best recruiting class in program history in 2020 and on pace to top that in 2021, I'd imagine it's going to be extremely hard for him to leave in the next 4-5 years. With UC's current trajectory, I still think it's going to take a Notre Dame, OSU, or Penn State offer for him to leave.

Agreed. If Fick ultimately does leave in the next year or two, hopefully the next coach takes the same recruiting approach. You simply can't ignore Ohio and expect to be successful at UC.
