For those even remotely interested in Premier League soccer, who saw this coming? First league loss for Liverpool in well over a year. Not to mention that Watford is one of the lower-tier teams in the EPL.

They've got a 1 goal lead in goal differential over Bournemouth keeping them just out of relegation range. There are 10 matches left though.

The whole relegation thing makes this league SO much more interesting to me that it otherwise would be.

Between winning the league, advancing to Europe, in-season domestic and international cups, and/or avoiding relegation, European soccer leagues have something for nearly every team most seasons. While I guess there is excitement in losing in the NBA or NFL due to getting a better draft pick, the promotion/relegation of European soccer is way better in my opinion than watching my favorite MLB team sink to a 60-102 record for a season that was over by Memorial Day.
