Host GRC has been near or at the top of the 10th Region rankings all season long, though the Cards & Bourbon County finished tied atop the 40th District. A coin flip went GRC's way, giving Josh Cook & company the #1 seed in the District Tournament. The Cards took advantage and upended Paris 62-49 on Tuesday night.

Bourbon County not only lost the coin flip, but also lost a big lead--and eventually the game--to Montgomery County in an Overtime thriller in the Tuesday night-cap. Indians' sophomore guard Hagan Harrison turned in a sensational performance in the outing, pouring in 38 points while grabbing 12 rebounds in the 69-63 upset.

Which of these two rivals will take care of the other & secure a District Championship?

This will be a battle. Lets see who wants it most.

Could care less who wins this one, but the atmosphere alone will be worth the price of admission. Friday night, Kentucky tournament time, district championship, GRC vs. Montgomery, that gym will be full and rocking so do not be surprised if people are turned away at the door.

GRC by 7, though it'll be nip-and-tuck the whole way.

1. Good to know, I would have felt like a fool showing up on Friday!

2. It would be a better crowd if it were on Friday, still going to be fun.

GRC by 10. Montgomery has had no answer for Bush in the previous 2 match-ups.

I also anticipate Coach Cook face guarding Harrison from the tip!

End of Q3:
