I think chatting up your team is great, but I don't see the point in chatting others down. :thumb:

Its hard to get a good "chat" started if there's no instigator! :argue:

I understand. I guess I'd rather see you poke and jab at the adults on BGP (most of them deserve it) rather than drag the kids into it, but that's just my opinion. :thumb:
Soon, Rose Hill will play Stony Brook, Rolling Meadows, Mountain Stream, and Grassy Prairie. That's when the victories will really start to mount!
I think you would be hard pressed to find too many team schedules a whole lot more challenging than the Hill's this season. ;)

I love the high school game. Would never bad mouth the kids.

That was just a joke - I haven't even looked at their schedule, honestly.

No problem... I've just been dealing with a couple of knuckleheads in other threads that were bashing some kids and I guess my radar was on.

You'd have a hard time finding a harder working, better bunch of kids than those at the Hill. They've been through a lot the past couple of seasons, and they're finally stepping up and showing what all the anticipation has been about.

Coach Fraley has done a great job putting together a schedule each season that increases the challenges and potential for exposure for these kids, while also ensuring them a fair opportunity to improve and succeed.

The RH schedule this season is among the top 4 or 5 in the 16th in terms of overall difficulty.:thumb:

You get better by playing the better even if it means getting beat every once in a while. A lot of points and good stats are fine but the young learn by playing against players of equal or better talent.

I’m not sure where you’re headed here, but RH opened with scrimmages with Mason County (Top 5 in Kentucky) and Jackson County (4th preseason in the13th Region.) They kicked off the season with Southwestern (2nd preseason in the 12th Region) and will follow tomorrow with Morgan County coached by Matthew Perry (perennial contenders in the 16th.)

The Hill is in the same pool with Washington D.C. Ballou High School, Louisville Ballard and Memphis Kingsbury at the upcoming King of the Bluegrass Tournament. They do have the typical 16th Region suspects on their schedule this season, including Ashland, but they play Cincinnati Oak Hills at Lexington Catholic, and Lexington Christian.

I don’t know what you consider good competition, but I’d say this is pretty ambitious for a team with no seniors, and led by two freshmen…

I think its fun reading the "chat's" on here too, even though i dont defend my team much anymore because when i do someone delete'smy post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not downgrading the boys from Rose Hill because I know they are a very talented young players that will probably become Division One prospects 3 years from now. I didn't mean to upset anyone but I know what I said was true. U. K . is a good example of what I 'm talking about, they play teams in the beginning of the year that a good high school team could compete with and this doesn't help those boys at all but makes the program look good and helps the won-loss record. I can use myself as an axample, I played at a very small high school and started as a frosh and averaged 24+ points for 3 years and played center and I:thumb: transfered to a large high school my sr year and we played most of the top teams in Ky and they played me at guard and I got a division 1 scholarship. Better competition made me a better player.

Good grief Bopper, they've played 2 games...........2! the next is tonight against Morgan @ Morgan. If you say Morgan is soft, well, that remains to be seen. They played 1 team who is a 3/4 type team in another region. What is Morgan? A 6 or 7, 9 or 10 in our region. Their schedule includes some heavyweights in some big time tournaments and frankly it would be good to look at the schedule prior to "not downgrading the boys".

BTW, resident 16 region prognosticator, Cubster, has Morgan @ 12 so they must also be soft. Man, I sure hope we can quit playing these patsies!

Hey--I wish Rose Hill the best this season-Love to see small schools do well--:fire:
