Best teams and players in 33rd district?

Featured Replies

Zac Adams at Scott will have a good year, played the second half of the year at first base for the Eagles and will use that experience this year to improve.

He may be a good ball player but I doubt a half season would qualify him as one of the best in Northern Kentucky.

If you read my quote i said he would have a good year, never said he would be one of the best.

COV CATH - Blesser & Larkin

21-13-1 last year...lose quite a few starters, only returning 1

experienced pitcher.

CCH's current sophmore class is one of the best classes the Colonels have ever seen.... Isler, Nutini, Holocher, Maile, ect. should all be big time varsity contributers.

There pitching should be deep and solid.... Blesser, Isler, Curtin, Houlehan, Niehaus, Nutini, and I'm sure I'm missing a few.

I believe the ninth will come down to Cov.Cath and Ryle. IMO.

Cov Cath had the 5th best record in Northern Kentucky last year with their vetrans. I don't see how they will improve that much with in experienced players.

More consistent pitching IMO. The power in the lineup will go down, but they do return Larkin, Blesser (as mentioned), Popham, Maile, and Reis.

Dixie - Nichols

13-13 last year...lost just about everyone.

The only above-average player Dixie lost to graduation last year was 1B/P Jeff Strong...if anything, Dixie returns a lot this year with a handful of Seniors that were unable to play last year

What about Otis and Keener, they were above average players IMO.

Here's how - Coach Bill Krumpelbeck.

Better get CCH this year.....that soph class is suppose to be the best class to possibly ever come through CCH.

Good ballplayers, but not much compared to Strong

and ?????

Obviously you've never been around baseball at CCH.

Coach Krumps, if the player is willing to listen, can get anyone on this board to throw strikes. In high school baseball, that's the most important thing.

Doubt all you want, but Covington Catholic baseball will be THE elite program in the 9th as long as #20 is running the show.

What happened last year?

What happened last year?

Cov Cath lost to NCC in the 1st round, right?

My point is not what happened last year. The same team doesn't win the region every year, and that's what is great about high school sports. With that said, CCH has been one of the top teams in the region for as long as I can remember.

Ironically, Ryle's program is being built (and run) in a manner that is almost identical to Covington Catholic's.
