Does a technical foul on a coach count as a team foul?

I think so.

Every technical foul counts toward the team foul count.

I thought so, too. However, we had that issue tonight. One official said that it did. The other official overruled him. I was 99% positive that it counted as a team foul, also.

You sure? What about an indirect? What happens if a direct tech is given at halftime is it a team foul in the second half?

Indirects do not count towards team fouls, a direct at halftime, since you would shoot the free throws to start the 3rd quarter, the team foul would also count in the 3rd quarter

This was a direct technical foul for choice of language/style of arguing with an official. So it should have counted as a team foul, yes?
